This layer contains the fire heat detections from the most recent satellite overpass with any fire detections present (within the last 12 hours). Only fire detections inside a bounding box with boundaries (-176.0, 50.0, -125.0, 72.0) are included. These fire detections from the experimental NOAA Next Generation Fire System (NGFS) are derived from Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) I-Band data, with a spatial resolution of approximately 375 m. |
